Forums for Discussion
The NCA holds Community Symposia and Townhall Meetings from time to time. The past three symposia have been a great way to profile all the active community groups in Naramata in an open house
format. Townhall meetings called by the NCA have been
important forums for dialogue on pertinent Naramata issues.
Environmental Action
The Naramata Environmental Action Team offers educational events, information, film nights and activities to promote an understanding of environmental issues and positive action.
Creek Stewardship
For over 20 years, the NCA’s creek committee has offered Naramata the opportunity to protect
and enhance its creeks. Best known for restoration and
maintenance of the Naramata Creek kokanee spawning beds, its mandate also focuses on environmental stewardship
activities such as education and awareness, riparian zone restoration, watershed health and protection, and watercourse evaluation and reporting. New members welcome!
Celebration & Legacies
The Legacies Committee works on legacies of the 2007
Centennial, and Naramata will feel the positive effects for future generations, such as: concluding work on Wharf Park’s
Transitions Monument as a lasting symbol of Naramata’s
heritage; and the Naramata Cemetery project, to assist
families with input of historic data.
